Skin Effect Heat Tracing System

Pre-insulated pipes may be supplied with a skin effect heat tracing (SEHT) system incorporated into the PUR insulation. The pre-insulated pipe will in this case be supplied with a small tracer pipe (tube) attached to the media pipe.

LOGSTOR will undertake the interface to the supplier of the SEHT components. It is thus LOGSTOR standard procedure to mount the tracer tube to the media pipe prior to the insulation process. The tracer pipe may be welded or strapped to the media pipe as per instructions of the SEHT-system supplier.

The supplier of the SEHT-system components will undertake the installation of the joints in the field.
